well, at lvl 1 i believe sneak attack is 1d6 dmg in addition to the base dmg, so you have a pretty good chance at killing it.
have we lost our DM?

well, i am no longer responsible for falco, blank maybe. falco has his comp back because his mom uses it for work, but she refuses to give it to blank. ive rarely seen blank this pissed. he actually ranted for awile when i called him today. theres no telling when he'll get it back. it was supposed to be yesterday, but he's hoping for tomorrow, and his mom says another week. i forgot to ask him about it today. i'll post what he says tomorrow - we meet to play a irl D&D game.

Hmmm. Nobody's done anything yet. A minute passes in game as you rest. Don't worry, nothing else happens. I expect that whatever happens next is going to be caused by you again.

sure. peek into the hallway, then if its clear, we can peek into the room that the other orc came from - remember theres another orc in that room "you go out there then."
i they still dont know were here yet - lucky since the one orc called out. *somebody* failed a listen check, lol.

Sure, you poke your head into the hallway. It's empty just like before. You still hear multiple orc voices from the first door on the left.

You have something like 300xp now (haven't totaled it yet, you need 1000 to reach level 2). The time it takes to level depends on the DM.
Some let you do it instantly. Some have complex training systems like what's described in the DM's guide describing how many weeks leveling takes. I just use downtime. Leveling up takes a few days. I still haven't decided exactly how long though. I'm thinking something like 1d4+1 days to level.

door-break manuever at the door with orc behind it?
btw - jae, how do you feel that all classes lvl at same rate. i much prefer older styles, like v2 or v1 where a wizard leveled at a different rate than a fighter.

Mmkay, everybody (or at least most of you) need to figure out where you are in this maneuver and how you're going about doing it exactly.
@the leveling rate question. I never played those versions, but I find the idea of different classes leveling at different exp levels ridiculous. It makes the game overly complex (which exp chart do I use again?) and doesn't make sense. If the wizard isn't supposed to get as strong as he does so quickly, make each level weaker (or make the other classes stronger).
On that subject, I've been looking at this site
http://dsenchuk.googlepages.com/home
Someone rewrote a lot of basic 3.5 material with the goal of balancing the classes in relation to each other and making it better overall. Mostly he made the melee classes cooler and made spellcasters MAD (Multiple Attribute Dependent) so a 45 int wizard with the rest of his stats 6s doesn't work (yes I'm exaggerating).
I'm planning to run a campaign using these rules with my rl group.

ummmm yup. D&D is fairly complex. btw, another wesite I've found for the people who don't have access to the basic materials
http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm
It's not as easy to read as a book, but the info is there.
