For those that have not yet heard about Project AM2R, it's a fan-based project to remake Metroid 2 into a full color SNES/GBA style Metroid game. The Project AM2R team have been making great progress lately and seems to be nearing completion, given the amount of detail and playability from the recently released trailer for AM2R.

As a huge fan of the 2D-based Metroid games, I'm looking forward to Project AM2R. It's great to see Metroid 2 (originally came out in 1991!) finally being remade.
