So from this, it appears that every month on the 11th, the qRO staff will make an announcement on when the server will close, so the earliest they could make an announcement is on October 11. Every 11th of each month will determine when qRO will be closed. I know all we've wanted from our owners is like 1 day to fully dedicate their time to fixing the server, but even that is too much to ask for their current life situation. Rave said they would keep the forums up as long as possible even if qRO dies. We've had our ups, and a lot of downs, especially towards the end. I hope you all will remember what good memories you had of qRO.
If anyone is willing to seriously host the server and take it over, contact Frosty/Rave directly through IRC or forum PMs. Leave them a message. If you're unable to contact them, PM me on the forums and I'll try to help.
Basically, frostycpu is saying that if qRO gets enough donations, it will stay up. However, that doesn't seem like that will happen, since qRO has already lost a lot of players as of late.k, I just want something to be clear here. The current situation is no different than any other before. As we've always said, we will always keep qRO up as long as we get enough donations for it. For obvious reasons, we're not going to put ourselves in a situation where we have to spend our personal money to keep a service alive that we don't actually charge for.
The fate of the server has always rested in the hands of it's players, since you guys have always been the ones keeping it alive with your generous donations.
This time is no different; we get enough donations to keep the server up and it stays up. We don't and it doesn't.
