Well, I think a lot of you already know. To cut it short, the server got hacked and the databases got wiped. I have backups, but I'm not sure that even matters. This is the summarized version, I don't feel like sugar coating it with some fake fantasy with pretty pictures.

How it happened? I don't know. I guess most of the damage was due to such critical timing. I pretty much couldn't do anything because I had no time to do anything. I have 2 finals tomorrow and as much as I am committed to the server, I am not going to fail school to save it. Thats just absurd. So, what happened has happened, so moving on...

The recent backups were tampered with and I don't feel like rolling back to early March. Theres no point, we will lose the players anyways. This was a critical time, I have no idea how the backups were tampered. I'm not about to continue with my efforts only to have things repeat, just a waste of time for me and for you.

So that puts with the option: should we wipe? I really don't know. How many will stay? how many will leave? It seems pointless to continue with the server, putting in so much effort as before, only to let it live as a mere shadow of its former glory. But for me this is the only option I will consider, that I will stay for.

But then closing it down seems such a waste, to let it all end like this.

Basically 3 options, I will let the community decide.

[1] Continue with the latest database - (I will not admin for this)...
[2] We wipe and move one
[3] We close down

i will now quit for a long time depending on what happens. Ill check these forums to see what you guys do, if you start a new server with the same rate (maybe 5x at least and no more then 10x) i might come back but yea... this is fuked. i spent how fuking long getting 2 trancendants... ppl say i only spent 2 weeks... imagine how long i played a day... sax knows.... anyways ill post in forums from time to time but holy crap... unless somebody wants to make me a lk.... im not sure how long im quitting for this time... sorry guys and peace.

If the server is wiped
the base/job rates will be DAMN high
So it'll be easy to get bck to 9x/6x trans in 2~3days
So dont think its THAT much of a problem

oh crap >.<

I'm a bit disappointed at what happened to my characters, but I really feel sorry for the active players. What gets me though is that if TF as a guild goes inactive the forums are gonna be way too dead =/ It's fun here.

edit: based on LRO's temporary forums, most people support the wipe and reset option. I wonder if I'm gonna come back and level again... O.o I just realized I reached a higher level here than I did on qRO (by about 20% exp). rofl XD I guess it'll depend on the rates...

That sucks to hear that LRO is down.

If they do decide to wipe and reset the server, a lot of people may decide to leave LegacyRO, which would be unfortunate.

According to some of the posters on the (temp) LegacyRO boards, the culprits seem to be from EternityRO. This is the server where alot of ex-LRO players went to, a few months ago. I guess some of them really had a score to settle with LRO. >:(

In any case, this really sucks.

Bah, just when I 'completed' my equips q.q no fun..Hopefully Itakou finds good solution, I dunno which would be better, wipe or using backup.

I could start again if Itakou decides to wipe, but who else will? I smell more ppl going inactive..

Well ill play ... coz i still 5months more to waste till college starts and its not like i wont play when college starts.. but ill miss every1 else =/

personaly i think that Lro is not as fun as qRO was.
now 2nd time i made 99 / 70 champ .. and whiped again..
