The problem I'm having with RO is that 99% of the PvE combat feels utterly dull, and you can't PvP without massive PvE grinding for loot/exp. Right now I'm playing Hellgate: London (borrowed from a friend) and I find that to be a lot of fun (or at least highly amusing).
There's something missing from RO's combat. If you die while leveling it was just bad luck/a mistake. If you kill everything onscreen with the most boring (but efficient) method possible that's just to be expected. There's no such thing as interesting combat outside of PvP it seems. This thread even highlights that. Killing the boss relies on nothing but getting together the right classes to spam the correct combination of skills (only a slight exaggeration).
Right now I'm either having one of the best ideas of my life, or the one I'm going to obsess over the rest of my life to no avail... I need to learn to program a game engine...
I would say MvPing is much more than the right combination of classes spamming the right skills. There needs to be perfect co-ordination between all the people involved otherwise there is a high chance of losing the MvP. Also, whatever I posted assumes the best happens. Just assume the MvP decides to use one of its super powerful skills. You would have to react correctly on the spot and should not let the party fall apart.
i must say the valk mvp killing seems pretty nice.
when well all get better chars in RRO ill also make a guild on how we should kill bio MVP's
ive seen it in RPS and its very good to do. but also relies on team work all times.
so its a realy good pratice. tough it could take some time. xD

You don't need that many peeps on to kill a randgris. I think I showed Sax already that you need at least 1 if it's in DB room and minimum of three people for rand in the wild !
