ummmm O.o lol?
@Dracoth recovering spells requires 8 hours of sleep (or just rest, because elves don't sleep) Right now, you have one round to react to the door opening/closing out of sight.

So you're hiding behind the table that gives you the best view of the hallway and attempting to see what's coming? not a bad idea at all.
map repost for convenience

You move to the far end of the table across from the door. I'll PM you with what you see (please don't cheat and tell the other players unfairly)

you draw a weapon... you don't have time to do anything else because an orc walks through the open door! =o
Now everybody gets to redo initiative (your goal is to get rid of him before he can react) Dracoth could see the orc coming so he gets his new init, or his original, whichever is better.
new order
19 Ulfgar
18 Dracoth (replacing 14)
8 Hadvi (I think you're distracted)
I'll add the orc when it's his turn (you don't get to know XD)
The orc is in the space immediately past the door (on your side)

um, right. move+attack
*18*+whatever=definitely a hit
damage... *7*+3=10
Very nice. Ulfgar seems to be gaining momentum XD crappy rolls->good rolls
This orc is down to negative hp and you did it really quickly too. You have some time to act out of combat now. Rhonal's hp reaches positive numbers in a few rounds so he can do stuff now. You end up with a total of 6 hp remaining (the potion healed 11).

i cast cure light wounds on.....shit.....whatshisname.....Blank Merrak
note to self: i have cast 1 lvl 0 spell : detect poison
1 lvl 1 spell: cure light wounds
jae - i forget, does a cleric need to prepare specific spells, or just pray to be able to use the spells? say, do i need to have obscuring mist prepared to use it, like a wizard, or can i just cast it like a sorcererr?

heh, clerics prepare their spells in advance like a wizard, but they have no spellbook. All they have to do is pray once per day at a specific time (varies from cleric to cleric) and they can prepare any spell on their spell list. Good clerics (you're good, right?) can spontaneously cast cure spells by sacrificing a prepared spell of equal or greater level (can't sacrifice domain spells though). Evil clerics do that with inflict spells instead. now to cast that spell...
*7*+1=8 points healed nice spell. That puts him at 3 hp. hmmm =3
You're almost out of healing pretty early. If you keep going you might manage to finish another battle before you have to rest and regroup and that'll be fewer orcs on high alert next time. Of course, if you leave now you can be sure nobody dies from starting a battle with less than full hp. Anyway, you're all conscious now and you have at least a minute of in-game time (not saying exactly how long)

hmmmm...i was afraid of that. oh well. i think i have one more cure light wounds available and 2 lvl 0's.
i can only sacrifice lvl 1 spells or higher for cure light wounds, right? kind of like a equal or lesser value sort of deal, i think. i cant wait till i get cure serious wounds, or fatal wounds or whatever. i can raise dead. but i wouldnt- not with the xp cost.
i think the only thing that cure minor wounds (+1 hp) is good for is for stabilizing.
hmm..as weak as merrak is right now, i need to save my healing. i guess i will drag the orc under the table cloth with the others, do a very quick search (+1 due to int) for anything important or valuable, and get my bow out to watch the door.

finally someone searching. You find two unmarked vials (one from one orc, one from another).
One holds a milky liquid with a faint blue tint. It has a faint scent that you can only describe as "sweet".
The other is a clear liquid in a frosted glass vial (it's not cold, that's the style of the glass). It has a harsh acrid scent.

darn it. i dont know what these are. 1st is probably a potion to give a few buffs in battle or sumthing. i will have ulfgar hold on to these, since he is least likely to go down. (i had thought i said that last time, but it turns out that i didnt).
i might guess the second is a poison, just because it's clear and smells bad. but then again, a good poison would be scentless.
if im out like before and were in a pinch, give me the one that smells sweet. just putting that out there so i dont get poisoned while im out and cant tell you guys anything.
checklist:
hide bodies - check
get loot - check
rest of orcs - ......
well, we know that theres more from where this came from because we heard the conversation. it seems that he doesnt know were here cuz he was obviously relaxed. i suggest peeking through the door to see whats there (the door he came from originally) , and then the door breaking drill. what do you guys think? any more ideas for this room.
btw - i read a book recently where a secret passage between two castles was behind the fireplace - where theres a door now. just throwin that out there. if we get the chance after we kill the orcs, I'd like to see that.
I don't think we should stop and rest or leave, cuz wed lose the suprise weve had, which is the only reason were alive, im convinced.
i have to go to work now
