3. Card Changes
Generally, most servers that we've found don't tinker at all with the intricacies of the game's battling mechanics, however, we feel that since this is a private server, why not give things a special twist.. a special flavor, if you will. This is afterall SerenityRO, not kRO or iRO.
While we wish to add to what Gravity, the original creators of the game, built, we also wish to always keep balance in mind. Because we have custom gears available in our gaming environment, we feel that changes to existing items to level the playing field are necessary in order to keep balance.
If you've ever played on a server where you have to donate in order to reap many benefits otherwise not accessible, then you'll understand the frustrations of not being able to play up to par with others simply because you either weren't able to donate, or just didn't want to. Here, we adjust existing cards to give everyone an equal opportunity to play at the top-tier without having to spend money to do so.
As well, if you've ever played a server where certain MVP "Boss" Cards weren't balanced to suit the server's environment, you'll understand the frustration that comes along with having to face nearly impossible odds of winning in both PVP and War of Emperium.
Through careful adjustments and hours upon hours of testing, reconstructing and reviewing feedback from our community members, we adjust cards accordingly and on an as-needed basis. We aim for complete balance, while still providing custom features not found elsewhere.

Armor Cards
Gazeti Card +1 DEX, +1 Additional DEX if Armor has a refine rate of +7 or higher. Add a 5% chance of auto casting Level 2 Cold Bolt on the enemy when attacking.
Accessory Cards
Cloud Hermit Card +4 DEX. Every time you kill a Plant monster, you can receive a "Box of Gloom".
Garment Cards
Magmaring Card +3 DEX, +2 Additional DEX if Garment has a refine rate of +7 or higher. ATK + 5. Increase damage on Earth Property enemies by 10%. Add a Critical Rate + 5 to Brute monsters.
Footgear Cards
Explosion Card +4 DEX, +1 Additional DEX if Footgear has a refine rate of +7 or higher. Receive 10% more Experience Points from Dragon monsters. Receive 20% more damage from Dragon monster.
Shield Cards
Anubis Card +1 DEX, +2 Additional DEX if Shield has a refine rate of +7 or higher. Reduce damage from Angel monster by 30%.

In addition to all of the features listed above, you will find quality support and become part of a close-knit but competitive community. Each new player receives a Novice Package which includes helpful items that will get you started in our gaming environment. On top of joining incentives, existing community members take no time in warmly welcoming all new players to the server, often times assisting in initial leveling as well as providing gears to quickly bring the new players up to par with the veterans.
As a personal incentive, because there is such a high number of you looking to join at once, I was already in the process of creating an incentives program for recruitment. I will gladly provide a few Emperiums for you all to begin guilds, as well as ample supplies, zeny and personally aid in helping to level your guilds if you should take me up on that offer, from one of my higher leveled legit characters.
Our rates are 10/10/8, we hold War of Emperium twice weekly, have daily events (usually between 5-10 events a day), hold contests regularly as well as boast an average online count between 30-50 players during our peak hours of the day. That would easily double with all of you joining together.
