So far in the series, I seriously think Suikoden 2 is the best. I mean, the innovation: from rune concentration to war concentration. not bad eh? ;D

Hey s0uleater, welcome to the Message Board! I think I like Suikoden II a little bit better than Suikoden. Konami did a really good job with the war concentration on part two - the war battles had a little more tactic than the first Suikoden war battles.

I LOVED Suikoden 2. Me and BF are actively awaiting the third installment. We watch the intro over and over again, trying to piece out the story. My biggest problem with the wars in Suiko 2 is that they were done so quickly! Every single war had some sort of trick. Even L'Renouille wasnt much of a war with Yuber gone after a few turns and Seed, Culgan, Lucia and Han waiting in the city like morons. The best battle was for Rockaxe, but that too ended too early when Barbara arrived. I guess the ones that are the best cuz you have a lot of soldiers and youre actually allowed to finish is Kibas battle on Greenhill.

the best thing about suik2 is that there are still a lot of things in the game that haven't been tried...
there's actually more to the game than meets the eye. and it totally leaves you hanging about what happens to most of the characters, like jillia.

well when you beat the game with all 108 and save nanami (has figured out you can just decide not to have nanami at all) you go defend against jowy at that peak place and then you revive him and you go off, but after picking up nanami from the home town. you go to harmonia for jowy and find jillia and pilika.

hey, the third suikoden is out...so do you think it's better than suik 2?
I think suik 2 is still somewhat...better.

I agree. After playing through Suikoden III, I was somewhat disapointed with the battle system and the storyline, but the game is still excellent. I felt that Suikoden II's storyline was much more serious and had more dramatic, such as the death of characters and the terrible acts of Luca Blight.

Yes, I definately agree. Suikoden 2 may be outdated, but it is, in my point of view, far superior to Suikoden 3. I was kind of disapointed, really.

Once again suikoden 3 is horrbile, i couldn't even play most of it ???

I loved Suikoden II. I thought that the storyline was a bit more dramatic than the first, with all of Riou's allies dying, then followed by his beloved sister. Of course, the tactical battles rocked, and the battle system hasn't changed. Just the way I like it.

Even after Suikoden IV came out, I still feel that Suikoden II is the best in the series. I personally felt that Suikoden IV's pace was a bit too slow for my tastes.
