“Bad Box Art” Mega Man Joins the Street Fighter x Tekken Cast!?

Street Fighter X Tekken, the upcoming crossover Capcom & Namco fighting game, looks to be exciting, as it combines characters from both the Street Fighter and Tekken franchise into one fighting game. The gameplay will be based on the 2D style of the Street Fighter franchise. There is another version (called Tekken X Street Fighter) that will utilize the Tekken 3D gameplay style, developed by Namco Bandai.

From the preview screenshots of the game, it certainly looks to be exciting, with the likes of Ryu and Chun-Li facing off against well-known Tekken characters like Kazuya and Nina Williams. But the shocking news is the inclusion of Pac-Man and Mega Man in the PS3/VITA port of the game. While Pac-Man looks to be as expected, Mega Man is another story…

Street Fighter x Tekken Mega Man

Mega Man… aged, with a beer belly.

For Street Fighter X Street Fighter, Capcom has decided to be humorous and base Mega Man on the notoriously bad game art that was utilized for the U.S. release of Mega Man on the original NES way back in 1987.

Worst Game Cover Art Ever

Terrible game cover art ever… if not the worst.

Let’s just say that the appearance of Mega Man in Street Fighter X Tekken is probably how Mega Man would look if middle-aged and had been drinking a lot of beer. After all, even Mega Man’s creator approves.
